COVID-19: FACEBOOK TO DONATE $20 MILLION TO BATTLE GLOBAL PANDEMIC.

As the world continues to struggle against the global pandemic, Coronavirus, Facebook’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg made a public announcement on his social media platform on Friday that Facebook has started a COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and the fund was starting out alongside the WHO and UNF. Facebook is committing $20 million in donations for COVID-19.

Zuckerberg said in his social media handle that Facebook is contracting up to $10 million in donations, and 100 percent of funds will directly support the work to prevent, detect and respond to the outbreak around the world, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said in a post on the social media platform on Friday.

We will also contract $10 million for the CDC Foundation, which will launch a fundraiser in the next few weeks focused on combating the outbreak here in the US,” he added.

Earlier this week, Microsoft and Amazon also contributed millions of dollars to the COVID-19 SOLIDARITY RESPONSE FUND.
